Sherman Oil offers three ways to purchase your fuel oil. You may choose
to simply pay as you go receiving the daily price in effect the day of
your delivery. You may spread your payments out with our budget plan,
or you can pre-buy your oil in quantities of 500 gallons or more
"locking" in your price until you use that oil.
With the normal pay as you go purchases we offer a three percent discount for payment within ten days.
Our
budget plan is a great way to avoid high heating bills in the middle of
winter and around the holiday season. Rather than pay for the majority
of your heating costs in four to five months, we spread out your
payments to a predictable amount over ten months. As long as your
payment is received within ten days of the first of the month, we will
credit your account 3% for prompt payment.
We also offer a
Pre-buy program. This allows you to pre-purchase your fuel for the
upcoming season. You may buy pre-buy at any time, with the decision
when to pre-buy being completely up to you. Our pre-buy price
fluctuates with the market and can change at any time. When you
pre-buy, we hold the gallons you buy in our storage and deliver them to
your account as needed. When you have received your entire purchase,
you may return to paying per delivery, or purchase more pre-buy oil at
the price in effect at that time.
If you pre-buy you should
understand that the oil market is volatile and unpredictable. A pre-buy
purchase will insure you against the price moving higher; but it is
possible at any time that the price may go lower. It is also important
that you understand that we have bought and paid for the pre-buy
gallons we have sold you and that you now own those gallons. We
guarantee we will deliver all your gallons for the price you paid no
matter how high the price may go, but we cannot offer any rebate if the
price drops. Therefore, you are assuming the risk that the price of oil may decline before you have used all the gallons you have purchased!
We
ask for two days notice when you call for a delivery. For example, if
you call on a Wednesday we will deliver before the end of the day
Friday.
